These schools have witnessed a decline in their services, and increasingly they are accessed by the poor and the marginalized. Across India, a handful of committed individuals have led efforts to improve government schools, in the belief that they could demonstrate or induce an enduring change in the system. Despite its importance , the quality of education in rural areas of India has been a concern for several decades. Many children in rural areas face challenges such a poverty, lack of infrastructure, inadequate teacher training and limited access to quality education. The trust has already demonstrated its commitment to education by successfully adopting one government school in a rural area named Govt higher primary school Bijoor, with the aim of elevating the quality of education and providing a nurturing environment for students. Building on this impactful foundation, Shri Varalakshmi Charitable Trust envisions extending its reach to a total of 12 government schools in rural areas. The objective of this ambitious plan is to create a widespread and sustainable impact on education, ensuring that underserved communities have access to quality learning environments.
